Product Designer

As a Product Designer at VenueBook, you will be designing products and features that are shaking up the events industry while helping to simplify the user experience of multiple already powerful products. As an integral part of the Product team you will be collaborating with Product Managers, Software Engineers and users through all stages of the product cycle.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • be a skilled and process-oriented communicator with strong collaboration skills within a team
  • have a knack for translating complex product and feature specs into visually concise and experientially simple wireframes, mockups and prototypes
  • have a deep understanding of how to design for user experience, keeping in mind both business and product goals
  • exercise the ability to balance multiple vastly different products, and the workflows shared between them
  • not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and work with varying levels of direction while independently prioritizing work
  • be flexible to and excited by change and momentum
  • desire to conceptualize multiple solutions to a problem, and continually iterate in order to evolve our products
  • appreciate detail, organization, and open communication of constructive feedback

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize new features or redesigned features (in collaboration with Product team) in response to business direction or user feedback
  • Research (competition, industry, design patterns, etc)
  • Information architecture and wireframing
  • Design clean, smart mock-ups following our brand styleguide
  • Prototyping and user testing to validate designs
  • Preparing mock-ups and assets for build


  • 2+ years experience in web or mobile product design
  • Exceptional online portfolio, including process work
  • Great collaboration and communication skills. Ability to present their work to internal stakeholders and modify their ideas according to feedback received
  • Solid foundation of prototyping tools (such as Axure, InVision,, or Marvel)
  • Expert knowledge of tools for producing high fidelity mock-ups (such as Sketch or Adobe Products)
  • A love of using pencil and paper to detail and present your process
  • An understanding of HTML/CSS and web technologies and have a good feel for their technical limitations
  • An understanding of how to work with engineers and how to provide everything required for a smooth build
  • You care about details and creating delightful experiences
  • You have great taste and an eye for color, space, and typography
  • Ability to produce within deadlines
