Marketplace Sales Intern

Hey recent college grads!

 

Are you passionate about events, sales, and technology? Then you might be the perfect candidate to join our conversion team! We’re looking for recent college grads who are looking for an exciting, sales-driven role at a marketplace-based tech startup. This cross-functional role will live at the intersection of our two-sided marketplace, bringing clients and venues together to help generate revenue and drive conversion.

 

The ideal candidate will have hustle, drive, and tenacity. We’re looking for someone who is sales-driven, loves events, and is malleable - this is a startup after all! Be prepared to handle anything.


This position is based in our NYC HQ in the fun SOHO neighborhood. This is a paid internship with a humble monthly salary plus commission on any events you help book. Possibility of full time position at the end of internship.

 

Main Responsibility:

Analyze successful conversion behavior and creating ways to generate revenue

Matching up venues and clients that would work best together for events

Develop and advise the product team on site changes that could increase conversion

Reach out to venues and “sell” them on why accepting VB leads will be beneficial to them

 

Additional Responsibilities:

Research and develop content for blogs, e-mails, etc.

Ad-hoc data analysis

Support directors, VPs, and venue operations team on additional projects as needed

 

Minimum requirements:

Recent college graduate from a 4-year BA/BS program, preferably majoring in Marketing, Sales or Business

Have authorization to work in the United States

Available full time

 

Preferred Requirements:

Strong interest in sales and the marketplace user experience, additional interest in hospitality and technology. Great interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to adapt easily to change. Excellent analytical skills and a desire to recognize and solve business problems.

 

Compensation - Small base with unlimited commission potential
